International law firm Integrites with Baker Tilly Ukraine, one of the largest audit firms in Ukraine, held a seminar on changes in tax legislation and news of court practice regarding tax dispute resolution.
On October, 25 seminar participants gathered at the Baker Tilly Ukraine office to discuss the most problematic issues of taxation practice and nuances of settlement of tax disputes. Tax workshop speakers were Olga Litvinova and Irina Panfilova, advisors of Tax Audit Practice at Baker Tilly Ukraine, who revealed key problems of recent changes in the 2012 taxation, their application, and new taxation rules in 2013, and Anna Tyshchenko, the Counsel of Litigation Practice at International law firm Integrites, who clarified the urgent issues of court practice regarding tax dispute resolution
During the speech, Anna Tyshchenko examined peculiarities and trends of the resolution of the most common tax disputes, in particular concerning void and paper only transactions, connection of deals with the activities of the taxpayer, validity of the calculation of the negative value of the object of taxation in 2011, and so on. Besides, the influence of the European Court practice on the decision of tax disputes in Ukraine was discussed.
