INTEGRITES participated in GRAIN FORUM 2009 Conference

20-22nd of May International Law Firm INTEGRITES participated in Annual International Conference Grain Forum and Grain Industry 2009 gathered more than 200 delegates representing 178 companies from 25 countries worldwide: Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, USA and European Union.  

The range of high-powered international organizations, Ukrainian authorities, heads of the leading agrarian companies took part in the Forum, namely: the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, Deloitte & Touche, USC State Grain, Inspectorate in Dnepropetrovsk Region, Grain of Ukraine, Kerch Sea Trade Port, Kyiv-Atlantic Ukraine, KiyvAgroProduct, Corporation "Svarog West Group" and COTECNA UKRAINE LTD, Offre & Demande Agricole, Zeleny Informacion Mercado S.L. Wadi Holdings and others.

Participants discussed various issues related to the role and place Ukrainian grain market covers in international grain trade, prospects of global and local grain market development, its infrastructure, and how authorities should govern the industry because of financial crisis.

During the Forum the Head of INTEGRITES’ International Department Ms Kateryna Kardash presented her speech highlighted the issues of export-import activity and legal aspects of risk management in Ukrainian agrarian industry.

Ms. Kardash noticed that Ukraine is emerging market and there are a lot of risks in doing business in agrarian and grain industries. But it is possible to control there risks by implementing of Security and Surety agreements as an efficient legal measures in export-import insurance on the foreign trade activity, especially in today unpredictable business environment.

In spite of financial crisis, this year is very prospective for Ukrainian grain market development, Ms Kardash summarized.
