VII Astana Economic Forum (further – AEF) and II World Anticrisis Conference took place on 21-23 May 2014 at the Palace of Independence and the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in Astana. Kurmangazy Talzhanov, Managing Partner, and Aiman Zhekeyeva, Head of Astana Branch Office of International Law Firm Integrites, participated as delegates in this Forum.
The event was organized by the Association “Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Astana Economic Forum is one of the largest international forums in the world. Held annually since 2008, AEF brings together world leaders of an international community of experts, from top-level political representatives, to heads of businesses, transnational companies and major international organizations, to Nobel Prize laureates and other eminent scientists and economists to find solutions to the greatest economic and social challenges of our time.
The main topics of the Forum this year were investments, infrastructure, social and cultural aspects of economic growth, Kazakhstan 2050, globalization and integrational process, GLOBAL RISK EXPO-2014, financial and economic stability, the development of trade and enhancing of competitiveness, the main aspects of energyecology complex.
Under the auspices of the Forum there were a number of important events on the development of innovation and green technologies, Investment Forum, Summit of Leaders of World Energy, Conference on the Development of the Eurasian Economic Integration, the preparation for the Expo 2017 and many others.
The Forum provided a unique opportunity for the participants to hold business meetings and conduct negotiations, while establishing and strengthening professional relationships and to obtain first-hand information about the latest developments, innovations and agreements in the fields of business, ore mining, energy and other sectors of the global economy
The Forum has become a landmark event on the eve of the signing of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) treaty on May 29, 2014 in Astana.
