On 23 May 2025, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade published a Notice of initiation and conduct of an antidumping investigation regarding imports into Ukraine of cable and wire products originating from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey.
The investigation was initiated upon the complaint of PrJSC ‘ZAVOD PIVDENKABEL’. As stated in the notification, the complaint provides information that imports to Ukraine of cable and wire products originating from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkey could be carried out at dumping prices, and were carried out in such volumes and on such conditions that caused damage to the national producer.
The goods under investigation are described as follows:
‘insulated electrical copper or aluminium conductors (cables) without connecting devices for voltages above 1,000 volts, classified under codes 8544 60 10 10, 8544 60 10 98, 8544 60 90 10 and 8544 60 90 90 according to UKT ZED’.
The countries of origin of the goods described above are the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey.
The antidumping investigation will be conducted by the Ministry of Economy.
The investigation procedure provides that if the investigation concerns the interests of individuals or legal entities, they have the right to submit information that may be useful for the purposes of the investigation.
Within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice, the Ministry of Economy shall register the interested parties to the investigation and consider requests for hearings.
Within 60 days from the date of publication of the notice, the Ministry of Economy considers the written comments and information regarding the initiation of the investigation.
