INTEGRITES strengthens International Trade practice

INTEGRITES announces the appointment of Yevgen Ivanets as counsel on economic investigations to the International Trade practice.

Yevgen Ivanets has 15 years of practical experience in applying trade defense instruments and representing clients in trade investigations. Additionally, he specializes in international trade disputes and WTO legislation and procedures.

Since 2004, Yevgen Ivanets has represented leading Ukrainian producers and exporters in more than 30 antidumping and safeguard investigations in Ukraine, European Union, Belarus, Russian Federation (later – in the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union).

Prior to joining INTEGRITES, from 2009 to 2020, Yevgen Ivanets held the position of junior partner at GAI Group, where he advised clients on international trade matters and trade investigations. In particular, he advised clients on the use of trade defense instruments, developed initiation and defense strategies in anti-dumping and safeguard investigations, as well as recommendations for clients to minimize the negative impact of trade-restrictive measures. Yevgen also represented clients in the course of investigations and consultations.

From 2004 to 2009, Yevgen Ivanets worked as an expert in international trade and trade defense at Interpipe, where he focused on trade defense, trade regimes and access to other countries’ markets.

Yevgen’s clients are leaders in metallurgy, chemicals, mechanical engineering and agriculture in Ukraine and the world, in particular – Interpipe, CENTRAVIS, Metinvest, ArcelorMittal, MHP, Sumykhimprom, Eastern GOK, Energomashspetsstal, UkrAvtoProm, Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, Chernihiv Khimvolokno.

Yevgen Ivanets graduated from Kyiv National Economic University with a Master’s degree in International Management with honours (thesis on “Regulation of International Commodity Markets”).

He completed the certified “Trade Policy and Commercial Diplomacy” program by the Center for Trade Policy and Law of the University of Ottawa (Canada).
