INTEGRITES held a seminar on public procurement for JSC Ukrzaliznytsia

INTEGRITES Antitrust and competition team held a 6-hour seminar for JSC Ukrzaliznytsia employees on the role of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in public procurement. 150 employees from various branches and departments of Ukrzaliznytsya attended the event on October 23, 2019.

The seminar focused on the peculiarities of the regulatory legislation in the field of public procurement, as well as on the analysis of bid rigging indicators. INTEGRITES speakers told how to avoid mistakes in the assessment of bidders and the selection of winners, as well as explained the role of the AMCU in the appeal procedure on tenders’ results.

Serhiy Shershun, counsel at Antitrust and competition practice at INTEGRITES, highlighted the importance of compliance with the basic principles of public procurement – non-discriminative approach to bidders, openness and transparency at all stages. In their presentations, INTEGRITES associates Mykola Boychuk, Anna Garbar, Orest Turkevych and Anastasiya Boychenko explained a number of key aspects in the procurement process from the legal and practical point of view.
