Oleh Zahnitko was a speaker at the seminar “Compliance as a Business Driver”

On April 24, 2018 in Kyiv the Committee for Banks and Financial Services of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce arranged a seminar “Compliance as a Business Driver”.

Oleh Zahnitko, Partner at INTEGRITES, together with Gunther Koller, Chief Compliance Officer at Credit Agricole of Ukraine, were anchor presenters on compliance, which is becoming a key management process, on “to do” list for the companies and which aspects of their everyday activities can be a part of the compliance program.  The expert also reviewed benefits of compliance-oriented approach and negative consequences that companies may experience in case of non-compliance.

The participants discussed international factors in compliance such as new standards of international organizations, extra/territoriality of some national laws, the importance of social responsibility for companies, as well as domestic factors such as IMF and EU program, the EU-Ukraine association agreement, the emerging civil society in Ukraine. Other speakers presented practical cases on compliance and corporate fraud.
