Olena Perepelynska spoke at the German-Ukrainian forum on extrajudicial Dispute Resolution

On June 23rd  INTEGRITES’ partner and head of international arbitration practice in the CIS Olena Perepelynska took part in the discussion within the two-day German-Ukrainian forum “Extrajudicial dispute resolution”. 

The event was organized by the Ukrainian National Bar Association and the Germany’s Federal Chamber of Attorneys together with the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation.

The second day of the forum was devoted to the topic of arbitration in Germany and Ukraine. During the panel discussion, Olena Perepelynska referred to the specifics issue of arbitration regulation and practice in Ukraine, the existing problems and ways to solve them, particularly with regard to the judicial control and the promotion of international arbitration.

“In the absence of an agreement on agreement on judicial cooperation in civil matters between Germany and Ukraine, and taking into account the approach of German courts to the reciprocity issue, the question of the implementation of Ukrainian judgments in Germany is still open. That is why, arbitration has been and remains the best mechanism for resolving disputes in relations between German and Ukrainian companies”, – said Olena Perepelynska.
