INTEGRITES advises the world’s leading steel and mining company in a multi-billion tax dispute with the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU). The case encompasses issues regarding all taxes applicable in Ukraine, including such specific ones as excise tax, payments for subsoil use and land tax.

The dispute involves one of the largest tax assessments in the Ukrainian legal practice. INTEGRITES has successfully challenged over UAH 5 billion (EUR 184 million) of tax assessments at the pretrial stage by disputing the tax audit`s results to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

The complexity of the case is driven by (1) a number of taxes involved in the assessment, (2) a long period under review, (3) the amount of documentation presented as evidence, (4) technical issues which require specific knowledge, (5) the need to engage a number of experts from various fields.

Supervised by the Managing partner Oleksiy Feliv and led by the Partner and Head of Tax and Customs Viktoriia Fomenko, the project team included Partner Oleksandr Onischenko, senior associates Konstantin Kharchenko, Oleg Kotliar and Serhii Rymar, junior associates Viktoriia Shvydchenko and Vitalii Labadin.
