INTEGRITES successfully defended a client in court on choosing the measure of restraint

INTEGRITES White-Collar Crime Practice Team successfully defended interests of a client who was suspected by the law enforcement bodies in receiving undue benefits. Our team represented by Volodymyr Rudnychenko, Counsel, Mykola Nychyporuk and Stanislav Borys, Associates, and Kostiantin Kornieiev, Paralegal, got the court to choose an appropriate measure of restraint.

On July 13, 2018, a client addressed to INTEGRITES to protect interests, including during court hearing on choosing the measure of restraint. Despite that, the law enforcement authorities filed a motion to the court to choose the measure of restraint in the form of detention with setting the bail in the amount of UAH 1 million, our lawyers succeeded in tailoring the materials to ground their position of defense in less than half a day and convinced the court that the prosecution’s motion was baseless. As a result of a lengthy court hearing, during which the prosecution failed to challenge the arguments of the While-Collar Crime Practice Team, the court chose house arrest as a measure of restraint.
