To be or not to be … parliamentary control over the activity of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine

January 9, 2018 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered a DL “On Parliamentary Control over Compliance with the provisions of Special Services and Law Enforcement Bodies”.

The authors of the article drew attention to  the main advantages and disadvantages of the impact on the course of pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings, mentioned European experience, and also camed to the conclusion that it is inappropriate to adopt a DL in its current form.
