Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on a range of regulatory and antitrust matters;
• Drafting merger control and concerted practices filings, transaction and other related documents, memoranda, legal opinions, etc.
• Drafting and reviewing various legal documents for compliance with competition laws;
• Advising clients on various competition law matters, including unfair competition, abuse of dominance, analysis of distribution agreements and policies;
• Legal research on various topics. Analysis of court practice;
• Direct communication with clients;
• Participating in due diligence, external negotiations, client meetings, communication with government authorities (including communication during raids and inspections);
• Project management, time tracking, and supervision / mentoring of junior lawyers;
• Active participation in business development activities (publications, legal alerts, speeches, participation in conferences, etc.).

Requirements

• Law degree from a reputable university;
• At least 3 years of working experience in Antitrust and Competition with an international or a leading Ukrainian law firm is an advantage;
• Working proficiency in English (including legal and business writing and speaking skills). Proficiency in other foreign languages is an advantage;
• Excellent analytical, legal research, and legal writing skills;
• Ability to produce mid-level complex legal documents with minor revisions;
• Desire to work independently and to have control over one’s professional growth;
• Good time-management: ability to work on several projects simultaneously;
• Self-motivating, excellent communication skills, result- and client-oriented approach, ability to work independently or in a team;
• Proficiency with MS Office software, online resources and legal databases.
