INTEGRITES team discussed the new Draft Law on Labour with HR experts from Ukrainian and international companies at the HR Club session on February 12, 2020.
Headed by Partner Illya Tkachuk, INTEGRITES team participating in the event was represented by Senior Associate Inna Kostrytska and Associate Yuliya Bleshmudt.
The discussion covered the main peculiarities of the Draft Law – novelties related to employment agreements, including those on the new employment types (outsourcing and outstaffing), higher flexibility in employment relations, employment dispute resolution. A special focus was made on the non-discriminative approach to staff which has been introduced by the Draft Law.
The Draft Law on Labour has successfully passed the first Parliamentary reading. Now it is being reviewed by the relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada.
HR Club Lead, Partner at INTEGRITES Illya Tkachuk: “Business in Ukraine has long been calling for a new framework of employment relations which goes in line with the market economy. The Draft Law on Labour requires significant improvement before the second reading in the Parliament. However, in general, it can eventually become a functional tool to set this framework and ensure the balance of interests between employers and staff”.
